3 card poker rules:
The hot table game Three Card Poker has gained popularity not only because it’s fun, but because it’s easy to learn. Three Card Poker is like winning two Las Vegas casino games at once. Not only can you play against the dealer but you can also win based on how good your cards are.
The aim of the game is to make the best possible poker game possible with only three cards. The game can also be played on reliable betting sites as desired.
How to play 3 card poker
To start, the player places an ante bet and/or a pair plus bet, betting that they will have at least a pair or better hand.
Three cards are dealt face down to each player and the dealer. You only play the dealer and not the other players at the table.
The player then looks at their hand and places a game bet (equal to the amount they placed as an ante bet) on whether or not to put their hand into the dealer’s hand. Optimum strategy says that the player should “play” all hands that are bigger than Queen, Six and Four and fold all hands worse.
If a player folds, the hand ends and the dealer collects the player’s pre-bet and double plus bet. If the player places a play bet, the cards are returned to determine if the player has a better hand than the dealer.
If the dealer’s hand is Jack-high or worse, the game bet is returned to the player. In the event that the dealer has a Queen-high or better hand, the player is paid 1 to 1 on the game bet and the ante if the player has a better hand than the dealer.
If the dealer’s hand is superior, both ante and game bets are totalled. The pair plus the bet is determined completely independently of what the dealer has.
